There are many elements to creating a successful business. I believe that just one of those elements is about focus.
Have you heard about the story of the engineer whose mission it was to drain the swamp? He was so focused on the alligators, snakes and mosquitoes that he couldn't focus on his mission to drain the swamp.
He spent all his energy focusing on the lethal jaws of the alligators, the potential threat of being bitten by a snake and dealing with the pesky mosquitoes that he just wasn't able to accomplish his mission of draining the swamp.
Well, if he had focused instead on draining the swamp, the alligators, snakes and mosquitoes would have moved to another area and his problems would have been solved.
The moral of the story is that when you’re up to your neck in alligators, it’s easy to forget that you’re mission is to drain the swamp.
Have you shifted your focus from your mission? Have you lost time and energy focusing on obstacles and not on your end goal? Today, shift your focus away from the alligators and drain the swamp.
