Episode 015 - Lasting Impressions

This episode is for those people who...

  • want to create deep, connected, meaningful relationships with clients
  • want to hear from raving fans
  • want to know how to spot a connection and then create it

Begin thinking strategically – start with the end in mind. For networking, set your intention for the meeting. Know who do you want to meet, how many people you want to connect with and how you want them to remember you.

People won’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.
— John C. Maxwell

So, focus on them. Listen, be curious. Ask questions.

So many people arrive at a networking meeting concerned about how their message and what will they say. When you speak from the heart about your passion, then people will lean in and remember you. Ask questions, be genuinely interested in the other person.

After you meet them, you will deepen the impression you created by following up. After all, the fortune is in the follow up. According to the most recent survey by SalesForce, a whopping 85% of people DON'T follow up.  You can read more in the Salesforce survey.
