Audacious Aspirations

I’m inspired by the stretch goals that each of my colleagues are setting and I’m willing to step up my goals for this year. Now I’ve set a huge and slightly scary stretch goal for myself. It’s easier because I’m doing this with other entrepreneurs and we all believe in each other.

It feels really great to be in the company of such amazing, kind, supportive people who truly see the best in others.

The best formula for a big dream, vision or audacious aspiration is make sure that it is something that will fill you with joy and energy. It’ll be just outside of your comfort zone and slightly uncomfortable. It will be something that will be good for you, your family, your business, your community and the planet.

Here are some simple steps you can take today to define your dream vision:

• When you’re creating your dream vision you want to be as specific as you can. It’s not enough to say that you want more clients or more money. Be specific. How much money would you like to make? How many clients do you want to attract?
• Make sure that you put a date as to when you want it to happen. Otherwise, you’ll keep putting off taking action towards your vision.
• Include exactly what you’ll be doing to bring about your dream vision. It’s the specific actions you take every day that will create your results. Breaking your big goal into bite size pieces that you take action towards weekly is much easier than focusing on the bigger aspiration.
• Write out your audacious aspiration every single day. This way, you’ll always be working towards and focusing on what you want to accomplish.
• Here’s the magic, infuse your audacious aspiration with the positive emotion of celebration. This guides your unconscious mind to seek it out.
